Dr. Mahmoud Ababneh
Our founding partner, Dr. Mahmoud Ababneh, established Ababneh Law & Arbitration (ALA) in 2008 after a 20 year career in the Jordanian Judiciary and Public Service. Dr. Mahmoud served as a judge of commercial matters in the Amman Court of Appeals, and prior to that as a Judge in the commercial division in the Amman Court of First Instance. Dr. Mahmoud also served as Jordan's General Controller of Companies, which is the Government Department responsible for the registration of companies and supervising their corporate affairs (Company Registrar).
Dr. Mahmoud is experienced in Insurance law and transportation law, along with corporate and commercial law. He served as a member of the Ministerial Committee to amend and draft the Jordanian Insurance Law, Transport Law, and Companies Law. He has authored a book on Transport Law which is currently in use as a textbook in several Jordanian Universities.
Having a long experience in the legal field, Dr. Mahmoud is involved in highly complex litigation and arbitration and is frequently nominated as an arbitrator in many arbitrations.
